Terms of service

Last updated: October 23, 2026

The short version. ClearPrenup is a self-help document service, not a law firm. We give you tools and templates; we don’t give legal advice, and only a lawyer you hire can tell you whether an agreement fits your situation.

Who we are

ClearPrenup is operated by an independent company. Registered company name and address will be listed here before paid services open. Contact: hello@clearprenup.com.

Not a law firm

We are not attorneys and we are not a law firm. Using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing on the site, in the questionnaire, in the plain-English notes, or in support emails is legal advice. The templates are built on Chapter 4 of the Texas Family Code; whether any agreement is enforceable depends on the facts, including voluntary signing and honest financial disclosure. Either partner may, and we encourage you to, consult an independent attorney.

What the service is

Right now: a landing page, a fit check, and the ability to save your email and first answers. The full questionnaire, financial disclosure, draft editor, e-signature and payment will open later; when they do, we’ll update these terms and email everyone who saved a draft.

Your account and your partner

Each partner gets their own account and answers their own questions. You invite your partner by email; we send the message you write. Your answers and financial disclosure are visible to your partner only when you both choose to share.

Price and payment

The published price is $599 per couple, charged once, when both partners approve the final text and open it for signing. Starting, inviting your partner and building the draft are free. Payment can be made from one account or split between both. Refund terms for the paid service will be published here before payment opens.

Independent attorneys

If you ask, we can point you to independent Texas attorneys. You hire and pay them directly. We receive no part of their fee and do not share fees with any attorney.

Your responsibilities

Limits of our responsibility

We provide the service as is. To the extent allowed by law, we aren’t liable for how a court treats your agreement, for losses from your reliance on the templates, or for your partner’s actions. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us.

Changes and termination

We can change the service and these terms; material changes are emailed to everyone with a saved draft. You can delete your draft and data at any time (see the Privacy policy).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
